PET POLICY
Motel 6 - Pasco, Washington

Since opening our first property in 1962, Motel 6 is the original pet friendly hotel chain. We're proud to be able to carry on that tradition at Motel 6 - Pasco, thanks to our customers who support our pet policy. It has been carefully crafted to benefit guests traveling with their family pet, respect our guests who are not staying with a pet, and even protect the welfare of pets staying at our facility.

  • One well-behaved pet per room is permitted unless prohibited by state law or ordinance. Service animals always allowed.
  • Pets must be declared at check-in.
  • In consideration of all Motel 6 guests, pets must be attended at all times. Pets should never be left alone in a room or automobile.
  • If a pet is left unattended in the room, we will not clean due to safety concerns for our employees and the pet.
  • Guests may be asked to vacate the property if their pet becomes a nuisance to other guests.
  • Pets must be on a leash or properly carried outside guest rooms.
  • When walking pets on the property, please be considerate of other guests and clean up after your pet.

Ready to hit the road with your best friend? Here are a few tips on how you and your pet can have a fun, safe and enjoyable trip together.

Prepping for Pet Travel

  • Make sure your pet is clean, healthy and up-to-date on vaccinations - its a good idea to bring a copy of your pet's vaccination records along and don't forget your vet's phone number. Allow at least two weeks for a newly vaccinated pet's shots to become effective.
  • Take a test drive - make sure your pet is ready to roll by making shorter trips around town before setting out on a long trip. Your vet can help with over-agitated and carsick pets - there are herbs and medicines that can make the trip more comfortable for both of you.
  • A sturdy, ventilated pet crate (available at most pet stores) makes for safe and happy traveling for your pet, just make sure he or she is used to it before the trip.
  • Be ready for those walks with a sturdy leash and collar with an ID tag - and don't forget, kitty needs a collar and tag when traveling too.
  • Pack your pets medications - and the prescriptions too.
  • Get that pet first aid kit refilled and put it in the car - you'll be ready for upset tummies, scratches, and minor cuts - don't forget to include the proper dose for your pet of any medications.
  • Include plastic bowls for food and water for refreshing roadside rest stops.
  • If you're traveling with a feline friend remember a portable, crate size litter box, clean litter and plastic bags for easy litter disposal.  Pets love familiar things so a favorite blanket and toy will make them feel at home.
